Here’s a great tasting and simple cocktail with a really cool look for Halloween. It uses Chambord, a raspberry flavored liqueur that happens to be dark red- and yummy. I like the cocktail on the rocks- the dilution of the drink as the ice melts makes you want more.
1/2 ounce Chambord
1 ounce Vodka
1 ounce Cranberry Juice
Fresh Lemon Juice to taste- we kept it light and simple.
Stir with Ice
There are a few ways to ‘play’ with this cocktail to match your own taste. Add a bit of club soda to make a more refreshing drink; or add some good tonic water to add a bit of depth with the quinine’s bitterness. Garnish with a blackberry or similar- or muddle some berries to make this even more interesting. Finally, feel free to add some red dye if you wish. We find it to be a rather elegant beverage that would go well with a fall day.
